How to download your PNC statements
OFX / QFXOFX/QFX (recommended). PDF statements exist but Pare can't parse them.
PNC offers a Quicken/QFX export from online banking. Use it rather than the PDF — Pare has no PNC PDF parser.
Steps
- 01Sign in at pnc.com and open the account.
- 02From the activity view choose Download transactions.
- 03Pick the Quicken (.qfx) format.
- 04Drop the .qfx into Pare.
Worth knowing
PNC's export range is capped per download; several shorter pulls are fine because overlapping re-imports dedup on the bank's transaction id.
What Pare does with it
Drop the file into Pare and it parses the transactions locally, categorises them, and builds spending trends, budgets and a cash-flow forecast. Uploaded PDFs are deleted the moment they're parsed, and Pare never asks for your bank login. You can also self-host it so the data never leaves your machine.
