How to download your Citi statements

OFX / QFXOFX/QFX where offered. PDF statements exist but Pare can't parse them.

Citi keeps statements under the account's Statements section and offers a transaction download. Formats vary by product, so check what your account exposes.

Steps

  1. 01Sign in at citi.com and open the account.
  2. 02Look for Download / Export near the transaction list.
  3. 03Choose a Quicken or OFX/QFX format if it's offered.
  4. 04Drop the file into Pare.
Go to Citi login โ†—

Worth knowing

Citi's export formats differ between card and deposit accounts, and CSV is sometimes the only option โ€” which Pare's drop zone doesn't accept. If you can't get OFX/QFX from Citi, the honest answer is that Pare isn't a good fit for that account yet.

What Pare does with it

Drop the file into Pare and it parses the transactions locally, categorises them, and builds spending trends, budgets and a cash-flow forecast. Uploaded PDFs are deleted the moment they're parsed, and Pare never asks for your bank login. You can also self-host it so the data never leaves your machine.
